The development of Street Sentry Bollards began in 2002 with requests from the design community for a barrier system which could be used in conjunction with conventional site amenities. To meet this challenge, we combined standard as well as innovative materials and manufacturing techniques. We solved difficult engineering problems. We listened to the invaluable suggestions, requirements, and criticism of talented architects, landscape architects, engineers, designers and customers throughout the world. The Street Sentry Bollard System can be made taller when needed to support entrance elements, canopies, signage, and hypothetically, even lighting so that design teams can incorporate standardized structural elements. The System is available exclusively with Victor Stanley, Inc.® amenities and special mounting options so that the bollard installation can double as a platform for a wide variety of the world's finest amenities. For high quality coordinating commercial site furniture including litter receptacles, benches, tables & chairs, picnic tables, ash urns, planters, tree guards and seats we recommend Victor Stanley, Inc. Secure Site Design bollards are manufactured utilizing complex and highly efficient robotics and welding technology. The design and precision fit of the components represented an engineering challenge. Now achieved, the extraordinary quality of the product can be delivered at affordable cost, justifying its use in new construction or as a retro-fit for existing installations. Additionally, this system has a small above-ground footprint to allow for conventional use and access/egress of public places. The largest cross-section of the standard S-1001 Street Sentry Bollard is only 13-Inches across. Other Secure Site Design products are currently in design.
